FARSITE

FARSITE is an innovative application to support the design and recruitment of clinical trials.
It is designed to allow researchers to work more easily and closely with GP Practices at the crucial stage of determining whether a study is viable.

The application also helps the GP identify patients who match the protocol for recruitment, preserving consent for consent requirements.

The core application is based on a natural language query tool to investigate datasets and preserve anonymity of patients leading to better protocol design and reduced costs for recruitment.
NWeH is working with the Greater Manchester Comprehensive Local Research Network (GM CLRN) to develop the application in partnership with Salford PCT and local GPs.
