University Hospitals Birmingham has developed a tool to predict missed clinic appointments
University Hospitals Birmingham has developed a tool to predictwhich patients are most likely to miss clinic appointments.
It was developedin-house and is based on an algorithm that builds in factors such as havingmissed an earlier appointment, how far the patient lives from the hospital,their age and the clinic specialty. Thelist of patients likely to DNA is then passed to call centre staff to makecontact with the patients.
