NWeH wins best paper prize

NWeH has won Best Paper award in the HealthGrid09 conference at the June 2009 meeting for the paper entitled “Preserving consent-for-consent with feasibility-assessment and recruitment in clinical studies: FARSITE architecture” written by NWeH Chief Scientific and Chief Technology Officers Iain Buchan and John Ainsworth respectively.

In addition, Iain Buchan presented the concept of healthcare e-Labs as a bridge between care and research. Since the presentation NWeH has been invited to take part in a European consortium where the e-Lab federation model will be developed as a potential solution for sharing clinical data for pan-European research.
